Wedding Reception Table Decoration — Singapore
The reception table is the first thing your guests interact with. It’s where they sign the guest book, hand over ang bao and have their photo taken before they’ve seen anything else — which makes it disproportionately important to how the day is remembered, and disproportionately visible in the photographs afterwards.
We style it completely: table skirting, chair covers, a low arrangement across the front and taller arrangements flanking either side. The setup shown uses white and red roses, though we work to any palette.
Why Artificial Flowers for a Wedding Reception
This is worth being direct about, because couples often assume fresh is automatically better.
At a Singapore wedding, reception tables are typically dressed several hours before guests arrive — often first thing in the morning for an afternoon event. In an air-conditioned ballroom, fresh flowers hold up. At a void deck, a community hall, a clubhouse or any open-air venue, they don’t: by mid-afternoon in 32°C heat and high humidity, fresh arrangements visibly droop, and they do it in exactly the window when most of your guest photos are being taken.
Artificial arrangements look identical at 8am and 8pm. They also let us build and check everything in advance rather than assembling under time pressure on the morning, and they remove the supply risk entirely — no last-minute substitution because a particular bloom didn’t arrive.
There’s a cost argument too, particularly if you want scale. The same budget buys noticeably more presence in artificial than in fresh.
What a Reception Table Setup Includes
- Table skirting — full-length pleated skirting in your chosen colour
- Chair covers with sashes to match
- Low front arrangement — sits across the table front without blocking the guest book
- Tall side arrangements — one or two, framing the table and giving it height in photographs
- Delivery and setup on the morning of your event
- Teardown and collection after the event
We can also style the aisle, stage, photo backdrop, entrance arch and banquet centrepieces as one package — see our full wedding décor service.
Venues We Work In
- HDB void decks — the setup shown; open-air, hot, and where artificial florals genuinely earn their place
- Community centres and clubhouses
- Hotel ballrooms and function rooms
- Restaurants and private dining rooms
- Places of worship — churches, temples and associated halls
- Homes — for smaller ceremonies and tea ceremonies
How It Works
- Tell us the basics — venue, date, guest count, colour scheme, and roughly what you have in mind for décor
- We quote — usually within one working day, itemised so you can adjust rather than guess
- We refine — swap elements, scale up or down, adjust the palette until the budget and the look line up
- We confirm — deposit secures the date, and we lock the specification
- We set up — on site on the morning of your event, well before guests arrive
- We collect — teardown after the event, so you’ve nothing to deal with
Lead Time
Two to four weeks is comfortable for a standard reception table setup, and it lets us source specific colours if needed. We can work faster where our schedule allows — if your date is close, call rather than email and we’ll tell you straight away whether we can take it.
Saturdays in peak wedding months book out well ahead. If you have a date, it’s worth securing early even if the details aren’t settled.
Colours & Styling
The white and red combination shown is a classic choice and particularly popular for Chinese weddings, where red carries strong associations with joy and good fortune. But we work to any palette — blush and champagne, all-white, burgundy and gold, dusty blue, greenery-led. Send us a reference photo or a Pinterest board and we’ll work from it.
One practical note: the reception table is usually photographed against whatever wall or backdrop the venue provides. It’s worth sending us a photo of the actual space, because a palette that looks perfect in isolation can disappear against a beige void deck wall.
Pricing
Every setup is quoted individually because venues, scale and palettes vary so much. A reception table setup is generally the most affordable element of a wedding décor package, and most couples combine it with aisle or stage styling for better overall value.
Send us your venue, date and rough budget and we’ll tell you honestly what’s achievable at that level — including if we think you’d do better spending it elsewhere.
