This is our most classic single-sunflower design — the one most people picture when they think “sunflower bouquet” — popular specifically for graduations and get-well gifts, where a bold, cheerful bloom does more than a delicate arrangement would.

Not to Be Confused With “Sunny Iris”

Worth clarifying, since the names are easy to mix up: Sunflower Iris (this bouquet) is a single-sunflower design at $55. Sunny Iris is a different, larger bouquet with two sunflowers and pink carnations at $80. If you’re comparing the two by name alone, check the photo — the flower count and price are the easiest way to tell them apart.

Caring for Sunflowers

Sunflowers drink considerably more than most cut flowers:

1. Check the water daily. A single sunflower can empty a small vase in 24 hours. Thirst, not age, is the usual reason they wilt early
2. Trim on arrival and re-trim every couple of days at a 45° angle under running water
3. Use a heavier vase — the head is top-heavy and will tip a light one
4. Keep away from aircon vents, direct sun and fruit bowls. Ripening fruit releases ethylene gas, which ages flowers quickly

Caspia and statice will outlast the sunflower comfortably and dry well.
