Sunflower Brielle — Sunflower Bouquet with Purple Statice
A bold sunflower framed by light purple statice, purple caspia and white baby’s breath, arranged in sturdy wrapping paper. The two-tone purple filler — statice for depth, caspia for airiness — lifts the yellow rather than simply padding it out, giving the bouquet more dimension than a single-filler arrangement.
One of Four Sunflower Bouquets
Sunflower Brielle is part of a small family of sunflower bouquets we make, each a little different in palette and scale:
- Sunflower Amelia — single sunflower, kraft wrap
- Sunflower Iris Blue — single sunflower, distinctive blue wrap
- Sunny Iris — two sunflowers with pink carnations
- Sunflower Brielle (this) — sunflower with light purple statice and caspia
All share the same warm, celebratory sunflower character. If you’re comparing them, the palette and filler flowers are the main differences.

Caring for Sunflowers
Sunflowers drink considerably more than most cut flowers:
- Check the water daily. A single sunflower can empty a small vase in 24 hours. Thirst, not age, is the usual reason they wilt early.
- Trim on arrival and re-trim every couple of days at a 45° angle under running water.
- Use a heavier vase — the head is top-heavy and will tip a light one.
- Keep away from aircon vents, direct sun and fruit bowls. Ripening fruit releases ethylene gas, which ages flowers quickly.
The statice and caspia will outlast the sunflower comfortably and dry well.
