Sunflower Ava — Sunflower Bouquet with Two-Tone Caspia
One bold sunflower framed by champagne eustoma, purple caspia, yellow caspia and eucalyptus, hand-wrapped in brown and white paper. What sets Ava apart within our sunflower range is the two-tone caspia — most of our sunflower bouquets use a single filler colour, but pairing purple and yellow caspia together gives this one noticeably more depth and warmth.
What’s in the Bouquet
- Sunflower — a single, bold focal bloom
- Champagne eustoma (lisianthus) — ruffled, rose-like blooms in a soft neutral tone
- Purple caspia — an airy filler adding depth and colour contrast
- Yellow caspia — a second caspia tone that echoes and deepens the sunflower’s own colour
- Eucalyptus — genuinely fragrant silver-green foliage
- Brown and white paper wrap
- Complimentary message card — write your message at checkout and our florists will hand-write it
What Sunflowers Symbolise
Sunflowers are traditionally associated with vitality, loyalty and happiness — the flower turns to follow the sun, and its symbolism follows from that. In Chinese culture the association extends to ambition and good fortune, which is much of why sunflowers are such a fixture at graduations and business openings in Singapore.
Best Suited For
- Birthdays — bright and celebratory
- Get well soon — cheerful without being overstated
- Graduations — sunflowers photograph vividly against academic gowns; see our graduation bouquets
- Mother’s Day — warm and distinctive alongside the more traditional carnation or rose options
The Sunflower Bouquet Range
Sunflower Ava is one of six sunflower bouquets we make, each with a different palette or filler combination:
- Sunflower Amelia — kraft wrap, baby’s breath
- Sunflower Iris — eustoma, caspia, statice
- Sunny Iris — two sunflowers, pink carnations
- Sunflower Brielle — light purple statice and caspia
- Sunflower Iris Blue — distinctive blue wrap
- Sunflower Ava (this) — champagne eustoma with two-tone caspia
Caring for Sunflowers
Sunflowers drink considerably more than most cut flowers:
- Check the water daily. A single sunflower can empty a small vase in 24 hours. Thirst, not age, is the usual reason they wilt early
- Trim on arrival and re-trim every couple of days at a 45° angle under running water
- Use a heavier vase — the head is top-heavy and will tip a light one
- Keep away from aircon vents, direct sun and fruit bowls. Ripening fruit releases ethylene gas, which ages flowers quickly
The caspia and eustoma will outlast the sunflower comfortably and dry well.
