Real queen palms are magnificent outdoors and miserable indoors — they want full sun, room to spread, and they sulk under air-conditioning. Areca palms, the usual indoor stand-in, drop leaflets and attract spider mites the moment the humidity shifts. This artificial queen palm gives you the look — a single upright trunk crowned with long, feathered fronds that arch outward — without either problem.

At approximately 3.5ft (107cm), it’s the size that fills a corner or flanks a doorway without dominating a room. It arrives pre-potted and fully assembled; the fronds are wired, so you can fan them out for a fuller crown or draw them in for a narrower footprint.

Styling It Properly

The nursery pot is functional, not decorative — that’s deliberate, so you can match the planter to your interior rather than being stuck with ours. Drop the whole thing into a fibreglass, ceramic or rattan planter and dress the surface with moss or pebbles to hide the pot rim. Give the fronds a minute of shaping when it comes out of the box — they’re packed flat for transit and open up considerably once fanned.

Care

Wipe the fronds with a soft dry cloth every few weeks, or use a hairdryer on cool to blow dust out of the crown. Keep it out of prolonged direct sun unless it’s confirmed UV-treated — Singapore’s midday sun will fade untreated foliage over a few months. No water, no fertiliser, no repotting, ever.
