Pink Love — Carnations, Cotton and a Bouquet That Leaves Something Behind
Pink Love is a small, soft, entirely pink-and-white bouquet: three pink carnations, three dried cotton bolls, and a full mass of white baby’s breath, hand-tied in a pale pink wrap. Where its sibling Sweet Love adds red roses and a note of romance, Pink Love keeps everything gentle — which is exactly why it works for a new mother, a teacher, a hospital ward, or anyone you want to thank without any romantic reading.
The cotton is the point. Dried cotton bolls don’t wilt, don’t drop and don’t need water, so when the carnations are finally done — and they last a good week to ten days — the recipient is left with three cotton stems and a cloud of baby’s breath that dries beautifully. Half of this bouquet is a keepsake from the day it arrives.
What’s in the Bouquet
- 3 pink carnations — ruffled, full-headed, and among the longest-lasting fresh flowers we stock
- 3 dried cotton flowers — natural cotton bolls on the stem, soft and matte, lasting indefinitely
- White baby’s breath (gypsophila) — used as the body of the bouquet, not as trim
- Soft pink hand-tied wrap with a satin ribbon
- Complimentary message card, handwritten
When to Send It
Pink Love is one of the few fresh bouquets we’d send to a hospital without hesitation: it’s unscented, it holds its shape without attention, and it outlasts the stay. Pink, white and cotton make it the natural new-baby-girl bouquet. Pink carnations make it a classic Mother’s Day and Teachers’ Day order. And because cotton is the traditional material for a second wedding anniversary, it’s a quietly clever anniversary gift for couples who don’t want a dozen roses. If you’re ordering for several teachers or colleagues, call us and we’ll arrange the group delivery with a card for each.
Keeping It Fresh
- Unwrap and trim 2cm off the carnation and baby’s breath stems at an angle. Cut carnations between the nodes, not on the joint.
- Clean vase, fresh water, the flower food sachet provided. The cotton stems can sit in the vase too, but keep the bolls themselves dry — cotton doesn’t need water and doesn’t like it.
- Change the water every two days and re-trim the fresh stems.
- Keep away from direct sun, air-con vents and ripening fruit.
When the carnations go, don’t throw the rest out. Hang the baby’s breath upside down for a week to dry it, then put it back in a small vase with the cotton. That arrangement will keep for months.
