A Note on the Lilies

Lilies are the reason this bouquet lasts and evolves. They usually arrive with some blooms open and others still in bud, and those buds open over the following days — so the bouquet changes and keeps giving you fresh flowers well after it’s delivered. Two practical things worth knowing: the lilies are fragrant, which is wonderful in a living room but worth noting for anyone scent-sensitive; and lily pollen stains, so we recommend gently pinching out the orange anthers as each bloom opens (this also makes the flowers last longer).

Keeping It Fresh

Unwrap and trim 2cm off each stem at a 45° angle, under running water.
Clean vase, fresh water, and the flower food sachet provided. Lilies are thirsty — keep the water topped up.
Pinch out the orange lily anthers as blooms open, to avoid pollen stains and extend vase life.
Change the water every two days, re-trim, and keep away from direct sun, air-con vents and ripening fruit.

Fresh flowers are seasonal. To ensure your order arrives on time and at full quality, our florists may substitute an element — lily variety, wrap colour, ribbon or foliage — with a similar item of equal or greater value. The pink lilies and red roses will always be included as described.
