Diffident Love — Red & White Rose Bouquet with Wax Flowers
Red and white roses set against delicate wax flowers and eucalyptus, hand-wrapped in white and kraft paper. The mix of red and white together is a gentler statement than red alone — warm and romantic, but without the full intensity of an all-red bouquet, which suits a quieter, more understated way of showing you care.

What’s in the Bouquet
- Red roses — traditionally signalling passionate love and romance
- White roses — purity and sincerity, softening the intensity of the red
- Wax flowers — small, delicate star-shaped blooms with fine needle foliage, adding texture without weight
- Eucalyptus — silver-green foliage with its own clean, cool scent
- White and kraft paper wrap
- Complimentary message card — write your message at checkout and our florists will hand-write it
Why Red and White Together
A bouquet of all red roses declares something directly and unmistakably. Mixing in white softens that a little — the sentiment is still clearly romantic, but it reads as tender rather than overwhelming. It’s a good choice when you want the gesture to feel sincere and considered rather than showy.
Best Suited For
- Anniversaries — the 12-stalk size carries the traditional romantic weight
- Birthdays — any size works; scale to the relationship
- A quiet, heartfelt gesture — when you want warmth without a grand statement
- Apologies — sincere and gentle rather than intense
How to Keep Them Fresh
- Unwrap and trim. Cut 2–3cm off each stem at a 45° angle under running water.
- Use clean, cool water. Change it every two days and rinse the vase each time.
- Strip submerged leaves. Anything below the waterline rots and clouds the water.
- Keep away from aircon vents, direct sun and fruit bowls. Ripening fruit releases ethylene gas, which ages flowers quickly.
Wax flowers hold up particularly well and often outlast the roses — once the roses fade, the remaining stems still make a respectable smaller arrangement.
