Artificial Fittonia Hanging Plant One-sided
One-Sided vs Full-Round Hanging Plants
| One-Sided (Flat Back) | Full Round | |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Walls, frames, planter rims, shelf edges | Ceiling hooks, macramé hangers, open baskets |
| Sits flush? | Yes — no gap, no crushed foliage | No — needs clearance behind |
| Tiles for coverage? | Yes — designed to overlap | Poorly — bulky backs create gaps |
| Foliage per dollar | All of it visible | Roughly a third faces the wall |
The rule is simple: if the back will be against something, buy one-sided. If the back will be seen, buy full round.
Planning a Green Wall
Coverage depends on overlap, not just area. Units need to overlap by roughly 15–20% to hide seams, so budget about 20% more than a straight area calculation suggests. Mixing two or three foliage varieties across a wall will always look more natural than a single repeated plant. Our green wall cost guide walks through the numbers.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does "one-sided" mean?
The bush is built flat on the back and full on the front. It sits flush against a wall, frame, shelf edge or planter rim with no gap and no foliage crushed behind it, and units tile neatly beside each other. If the back of your plant will be visible — hanging from a ceiling hook, for instance — choose a full-round hanging plant instead.
How big is it?
Approximately 60cm long and 50cm wide. The trailing stems can be separated, fanned and layered, so effective coverage varies with how you arrange them.
How many do I need for a green wall?
More than a straight area calculation suggests. Units should overlap by roughly 15–20% to hide seams, so budget around 20% extra. Send us your wall dimensions or a photo and we'll work out an exact unit count and price.
How do I mount it?
Fix through the stem base with cable ties, wire or staples into a mesh, timber or frame backing. Avoid adhesive — it fails in Singapore's humidity. For larger installations we supply and fit on site.
Can it be used outdoors?
It's suitable for sheltered semi-outdoor positions such as covered walkways and balconies. For exposed outdoor walls, ask us about UV-stabilised outdoor-grade foliage, which is built to handle prolonged sun and rain.
How do I clean it?
Dust every few months with a soft brush, feather duster or cool-setting hairdryer. For large installations we offer scheduled cleaning as part of our maintenance contracts.
Why choose artificial over real Fittonia?
Real Fittonia collapses within hours of drying out and needs constant moisture, high humidity and bright indirect light — which is why it's usually grown in terrariums. In an air-conditioned interior, or mounted high on a wall where nobody can reach it, it won't survive. This version holds the same foliage detail permanently with no irrigation.
Do you offer project pricing and installation?
Yes. We quote by area, supply to site, install and maintain — for offices, hotels, retail, F&B, showrooms, developers and event builders across Singapore. Send a photo, dimension or drawing and we'll return a unit count and price. See our green wall service.
