Artificial Areca Palm 90cm — Soft, Bushy Tropical Greenery
The areca palm is the most popular indoor palm there is, and for good reason: those soft, feathery, arching fronds bring a relaxed tropical feel to a room without the spiky, architectural hardness of other palms. The catch is that a real areca is temperamental indoors — it drops leaflets, browns at the tips under air-conditioning, and attracts spider mites the moment the air gets dry. This artificial areca palm gives you the soft, full look permanently, with none of the mess.
At approximately 90cm tall, it’s a versatile size that sits between a tabletop plant and a floor plant. Its multiple stems and feathery fronds make it full and bushy — it reads as lush greenery rather than a single upright stem, so it fills a space with softness rather than height.
Where It Works
- Side tables & low consoles — a soft green feature at seated eye level
- Room corners & doorways — bushy fullness where a floor gap needs softening
- Reception desks & counters — tropical greenery that never needs tending
- Offices, cafés & salons — the areca look without the leaflet-drop or watering rota
- Bathrooms & bedrooms — a relaxed, resort feel with zero maintenance

Areca or Queen Palm — Which to Choose
If you’re deciding between our palms: the areca is bushy and multi-stemmed with soft feathery fronds — full, relaxed, no visible trunk — best where you want lush fullness. A queen palm is a single-trunk “tree” silhouette — taller and more architectural, best where you want height and a clear stem. Choose the areca for softness and volume; choose the queen palm for a statement tree.
Styling It
The nursery pot is functional, meant to sit inside something decorative. Drop it into a woven, ceramic or fibreglass planter and finish with moss to hide the rim — a natural woven basket suits the areca’s relaxed, tropical character particularly well. Give the fronds a minute of fanning out once unboxed; they’re packed flat for transit and open up considerably.
A Note on Placement & Sun
Arecas are shade-loving plants, so an artificial one suits indoor spots and sheltered outdoor ones — out of direct sun. Prolonged direct sunlight in Singapore will fade artificial foliage over a few months, so for a bright or exposed position, keep it back from the window or ask us about UV-treated options. Anywhere shaded or indoors, the colour holds indefinitely.
Care
Wipe or dust the fronds with a soft dry cloth every few weeks, or use a hairdryer on cool to blow dust from the crown. No watering, feeding, misting or re-potting — ever.
